Modular Solution
The Livica Modular Principle as an Investment Solution
The Concept of the Modular Principle
Cost-Efficient
Livica's offering was specifically developed for a low-cost, indexed implementation for
pension funds.
Modular Principle
Livica offers a comprehensive modular system of investment products for the most common
asset classes, enabling cost-efficient implementation.
Flexibility
This flexibility allows a pension fund to freely compose its portfolio from the available
investments, and to include externally selected investments as well.
Reputation
When selecting investments, factors such as the provider's reputation and track record,
product size, diversification, and very competitive fees are considered.

Consideration of ESG Criteria
Sustainability criteria are playing an increasingly central role in investment strategies and are
firmly integrated into Livica’s modular principle.
ESG Criteria in the Modular Principle
ESG integration is also demonstrated in Livica’s sustainability reports according to
ASIP standards.
Livica incorporates various forms of sustainable investing in its products, including:
Asset managers participating in many sustainability-focused memberships and initiatives.
Assets specifically used for engagement activities.
No investment in companies or countries on the SVVK-ASIR exclusion list;
additional exclusion criteria also apply.
All actively managed real estate products (investment foundations) have sustainability strategies and climate goals or apply climate criteria.
Asset managers report regularly on their sustainability efforts.
Integration of Investment Modules
Livica's Investment Modules Embedded in Managed Accounts
What is a Managed Account (MAC)?
A Managed Account (MAC) is an investment vehicle created by Livica, similar to a fund. A
MAC can consist of various underlying investments and be used for specific or multiple asset
classes. Each MAC has its own valor number, net asset value (NAV), and is tradable.
A MAC can be set up for one or multiple asset classes.
Pension funds can invest in existing MACs and become fully invested within a short period.
Pension funds retain full flexibility when selecting MAC underlyings and can also hold investments outside the MAC structure.
