Cyberattack on a Pension Software Provider: Livica Not Affected
At the end of September 2026, a provider of pension fund software became the target of a cyberattack. Based on current information, Livica has not been affected.
In recent days, reports have emerged about a cyberattack on PK Softech AG, during which data belonging to insured persons from various pension funds was compromised, including data from the Federal Pension Fund (Publica).
Livica has no business relationship with PK Softech. Livica and Publica separated 25 years ago and have since operated as independent pension institutions with no shared systems. Based on the information currently available, no data relating to Livica’s insured persons, pensioners, or employers has been affected.
Protecting our customers’ data has always been a top priority for Livica. For this reason, our data is stored exclusively in certified data centres in Switzerland and is encrypted both in storage and processing. Software development and IT operations have long been organizationally separated. In addition, we regularly review our IT service providers.
Be vigilant against fraud attempts: Livica will never ask for passwords, login credentials, or bank account information via email, SMS, or telephone. If you receive a suspicious request, please contact us directly using the contact details published on this website.
To ensure secure and data protection-compliant communication, we ask insured persons and employers to use the Livica Online Portal when exchanging documents and messages with us. Transmission via the portal protects sensitive personal data and ensures secure communication.
